How to beat revek?

He's the first ghost in the Overgrown Mound, and he won't allow me to get essence from the other ghosts. Any way to beat him?

When you walk in, he'll appear and warn you not to bother any of the ghosts in the glade. When he appears and finishes talking, dream nail him. Boom. No more Revek.

Don't bother. You don't need their essence. There's an overabundance of essence in the rest of the game. You can competely ignore the ghosts. You shouldn't dream nail them anyway you monster. Ghost have feelings too.

Actually I'm pretty sure that just triggers his attacks the same as trying to dream nail any of the other ghosts in the Glade.

Yes, this is true. Also, once Revek attacks, there is no way to stop him until after dream nailing all of the other ghosts in the area. You can delay him for a while by hitting him (makes him incredibly easy to deal with if you have Shade Cloak and Sharp Shadow) but you cannot defeat him in combat.

Yeah, it was something added in Hidden Dreams. Before Revek would just warn you but not do anything about it, now he does something.

Yeah, you can hit reverk but he wont die, i landed about 20 hits on him while i was trying to kill him, but he just wont die.

You have to "kill" all the other ghosts in the glade first. Once they're all gone you cann proceed to dream nail Revek.

It's still relevant information... Posts come up in google all the time.

Anyways, I was able to get Revek to stop attacking me without killing the others by just leaving the glade and coming back. Came here looking to see if you can beat him, but I couldn't even land 20 hits like the guy above so I doubt it.

I just now am looking up info. I figured a pattern.

Dream nail -activate fight

He spawns - stay in place -don't move

Time Mid jump so he moves up

He dashes, upper slash, hit

Wave nail 9-10 times in a row (rhythm)

He spawns - repeat

I got a solid 50hits this way. I poked a period on my phone when I hit while I counted before he came up again.

But 50 hits? What's his total hp?!

I wanted to retry having the Steady Body - Life Blood Heart & Longnail charms with me, but if he can't be beat, I don't see the point in trying.

And if he can be beat I'm super sure I can take him on. But again, I wanna know if I can beat him full front or have to take every ghost first?

Thanks, I did just that.... Revek sounded so sad;; in a way, this wasn't the method I wanted, this is why : / I'd hug him for his devotion, and for being a truly worthy opponent.

To be the cause of his 'failiour' got to me;;... Even if I sense the past got the best of everyone here.... I'm still not done yet so I'll figure it out! Any ways, thank you!!

I know I’m real late to this discussion and I regrettably killed one of the people in the glade. I’m not gonna kill anymore.
I think I understand it now though, the ghosts everywhere else in the game are still vengeful spirits and once you beat them they are at rest. In the glade they are already peaceful and resting so there is no need to kill them. Also they are honored warriors (I’m not so sure about the guy who’s selling cookies though 😂)
