Do you need to kill skipped bosses in the pantheons?

So I've been thinking about it and I'm curious if someone here knows the answer. What if you skipped most bosses and went to the pantheons. Do you skip them, fight them or is the pantheon locked?

The Pantheon will be locked. You need to beat a set of bosses to unlock each pantheon; you'll see icon representations of each when you try to enter a locked pantheon.

The only exception is Grey Prince Zote in PoH - if you don't save Zote, you won't have to fight him.

Actually, if you haven't defeated Grey Prince Zote he won't appear. Even if you attempted the battle in the main game, he won't appear in the pantheons unless you defeat GPZ.

Also, you don't need to defeat any dream boss (not including warrior dreams) to unlock the pantheons, but they will still show up. Same goes for God Tamer, so that you don't have to complete the Trial of the Fool.
