There was a post some time ago where people with different phobias were talking about how difficult was Deepnest for them. I think it's awesome a 2D cute cartoonish game to be so immersive that it can trigger people's claustrophobia or arachnophobia.

I usually just run until they throw the rings out, then try to close in and get a hit or 2 in, then repeat until dead.
They shouldn't be a problem until they attack you during platforming or attacking you in groups with other mobs. When that happens, find a safe ground first then focus on dodging their throwing attack before making other advances; if in group, priortise them if possible especially with spells.
