What is your most enjoyable music theme from Hollow Knight...?
Which lovely soundtrack by Christopher Larkin seems to soothe your soul? Which makes your playthrough more enjoyable? Is there a song that, perhaps, makes a more unsavory area more bearable to you...? *cough White Palace cough* Feel free to include your least favorite songs as well! These songs can be from the Grim Troupe expansion as well. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the matter.

I have a soft spot for Fungal Wastes, but I think my favourite area song is Queen's Gardens. As for Boss music pretty much all of them are great, but I'd have to give it to either Mantis Lords or Broken Vessel.
My favorite area background music: White Palace and Path Of Pain/Sealed Vessel phase 2. I also like Greenpath. I like that shoothing/tragic vibe White Palace gives off. And Greenpath is my alarm clock on my phone due to how it starts smoothly but gets a little more energetic. Perfect for waking up (When I have an important thing and have to get up fast I blast NKG's theme tho)

My favorite boss theme: I like all of them but Grimm's theme is my favorite, especially the intense part that plays when he uses his bullet hell attack.

I also like the Radiance's theme, especially the intro. I love final boss themes due to how glorious they sound. If I had to rank the objectively best I would say that Sealed Vessel is on par with legendary themes like Gwyn, Lord of Cinder from Dark Souls... Really beautifully tragic stuff.

Favorite theme is the main theme + infection background menu. I can chill for hours listening to this lol.

Favorite boss theme are Hornet's and Dung Defender's. I bet you guys can hear the "Egalee!" and "Aaa fundaa!" already XD.

I love the whole soundtrack, but for me the City of Tears, Soul Sanctum and Greenpath themes are my favorite environmental themes. As for boss music, both Grimm themes, Soul Master, and Sealed Vessel are among my favorites. There's another track called Pale Court that doesn't actually appear in the game, but it's in the Gods and Nightmares soundtrack, and it's pretty amazing.

I love the whole soundtrack. But every time I arrive to City of Tears I just have to stop to listen to the music. It's gorgeous.

And for the boss themes, Hollow Knight is my favourite. It's so damn sad, I think it fits the fight perfectly.

I wouldn't say I have a favorite, but I feel that Sealed Vessel and White Palace best represent the game's themes / atmosphere. So I reckon I would choose those for being the "best" tracks in the game.

I also want to mention Enter Hallownest, since I'm willing to be that some people haven't heard it on account of the track not being included in the game itself. https://youtu.be/eqispO2Bi2k

City of Tears theme.

The most enjoyable in terms of just pure fun? Definitely Dung Defender's theme.

In the game heavy with moods and everything is so atmospheric, there's Dung Defender's theme song. The only boss fight I fought every time with a big smile (I just remember there's also Hive Knight who also has a pretty upbeat theme too, though his theme doesn't leave that much impression for me). The theme song also contrasts greatly to the hellhole that is the Royal Waterways.

I also appreciate the music of Blue Lake, or the lack of it. It is one of the few locations in game that has no instrument in its background music or ambience. You just sit there listening to the water (with Quirrel). Enjoying a quite moment of contemplation and reflection.

You guys have some fantastic opinions! My favorite boss fight theme is likely Hollow Knight, it hits me with the emotions every time, or the Grimm Troupe. As for areas, I am in love with both the White Palace and the City of Tears. I also like the lack of ambience in some areas, such as the Blue Lake. Thanks for your thoughts!

City of tears probably. its so fitting for the area, and the light rain in the background is so fitting. boss theme is probably normal grim. its just so good. the crystal mines have a nice soundtrack too, especially when you've actively platforming and it picks up a bit.

while its not a favorite.. or a song.. the deepnest ambience is amazing too. just so creepy, and perfectly sets the atmosphere.

Do you mean "Sealed Vessel"? "Hollow Knight" is the menu theme.

"Queen's Gardens" and "Crystal Peak" are my favorite area themes,
"Sealed Vessel" and "Daughter of Hallownest" are my favorite boss fight themes,
and "Enter Hallownest" is my favorite trailer theme.

Yes, I do! Thank you for correcting me, I was rather sleepy when I typed that, I'm afraid... And I ADORE "Daughter of Hallownest", I listen to it on repeat. Great opinions, my friend.

I completely agree. I loved the crystal peak soundtrack when platforming, and deepnest's overall lack of music really sets the tone.

There are so many great pieces in HK... Daughter of Hallownest, Mantis Lords, Greenpath and City of Tears are among my favourites.

Lace too if Silksong counts.
