Charms We Don't Use
Hey, I thought that I'd ask you guys what are some of the commonly used charms that you just don't ever find yourself using?

In my case, I never use Quick Focus.

How about the rest of you?

Quickslash

I much prefer Nailmaster's Glory.

I've never used Wayward Compass. Also never used Soul Eater because I never have room, and never used Fury of the Fallen because I'm a big weenie. I've only used Joni's blessing in haha funny meme builds

Defender's Crest. I know a lot of people used this in certain boss fights, but I never saw the point.
Another one: the Grimmchild. I don't get how anyone could possibly stand the annoying noise that thing makes, and I actually have to help it to deal 1/10th of the damage I could have done on my own if I didn't have to baby it, yet I keep hearing people say it's a good charm.

I never used spellcasting charms, only one of the spells is really any good and I find focus better anyways.

And here we get a look into how your playing style affects your charm loadout;

I oftentimes have Shaman Stone and Spell Twister equipped, but rarely have any charms that affect healing.
That's because I prefer to learn the boss patterns until I can win without getting hit more than a few times, and if I have to heal, do so when there's time for a regular heal. Because of this, I end up getting soul quicker than I can use it for healing, so my style has drifted towards turning that extra soul into damage through spells. I ended up learning how to use the spells properly. Meanwhile, that also means that I never mastered the nailarts...

And you prefer to use your soul for healing, so you've done away with using spell charms. You probably also use a few healing charms, right?

Interesting just how many playing styles there are in the game.

Kingsoul :P

Sharp Shadow. I could never adjust to the increase in distance and it always throws me off.

A lot of the charms are used in certain situations for me, and never again. Like Hiveblood and Deep Focus in the White Palace, Dream Wielder in the trials, Joni's Blessing to open the door in the Abyss, etc. For other times, I pretty much have a standard setup.

Heavy Blow charm or whatever's the name of the one which increases knockback. I've never even tried it out and idk why i'd ever need to do so. The thing sounds horrible and would be even more useless for bosses who don't have knockback values. This is probably the most useless charm in the entire game overall. Seriously has anyone ever found a situation that it'd be useful in?

Quick Slash does the same and faster, though. In the Pantheons, it's useful for the other bosses as well, which I can't exactly say for Heavy Blow. That said, I've never really heard anyone say they do use Heavy Blow (this is the first I even heard anyone propose a possible use), so it's a bit OT in this thread anyway.

Long Nail. I use fury of the fallen instead. It's actually helped me a lot

Why is your health so low that Fury of the Fallen helps you a lot?
Baarko 5. maj 2020 kl. 19:52
I've never used fury of the fallen, shape of unn, dream wielder/shield, deep focus and heavy blow. Fotf is too much risk for me, I've always wanted to use unn but usually pick it up too late in the game to use it as the lake is kinda forgetable. I think I've only used the dream nail during the pantheons and I don't really care for dreamshield, i'd rather have quick slash of fragile strength instead of a chance to block damage. Deep focus is trash and way too expensive to get any value out of it since you need quick charge for it to be worth it. Finally, heavy blow just sucks, why would I want knockback instead of fragile heart or sharp shadow or even long nail

i rarely use deep focus and nailmaster's glory. using nail arts is very distracting for me and i usually use spells and for deep focus i just never have ehough notches 8)

Yes, but the main reason is just the Cyclone Slash does so much damage and is easier to hit with.
