The land below the Crystal peaks
I have dash, wall jump, slam and super-dash but it seems that the land below the Crystal Peaks requires extra mobility and was briefly trapped in what seemed to be a soft-lock when I got there. Do I fight the Mantis Lords now?

You could. The game is really nonlinear and there's no one set exploration path.

You can actually finish the area below the Crystal Peak (it's called Resting Ground, btw) but you could also revisit it later when you've got another ability, to make it easier. But the Resting Ground is totally doable with what you have now.

Alternatively, there's a place below the City of Tears where you can fully explore now that you have the super dash.

Thanks, It would be good to get out of The Crystal peak, it is mean place. Guess who my favourite character was :steamsad:.
Extra mobility in Resting Grounds? I was there with the same abilities as you have, I don't recall any problems.

I think I mistook a section as requiring a double jump - The area that the your taken too after interacting with the statue has a platform that I did not think I could get to (with no other way out including death due to the character being moved back to the start without taking damage if they fail a jump.

I went to Crystal Peak before defeating Hornet because I couldn't find the way to Greenpath. So I got in there and got out of there without even having dash. I don't know where did I go, the only thing I remember is I felt somewhere and then I wasn't able to go back to Forgoten Crossroads, I didn't have Mantis Claw or anything.

I wasn't able to clear the area though, I just managed to get to the resting grounds after tons of pain and grief and wishes to uninstall. Resting grounds felt like heaven after that.
Protip: All the entrances to various rooms or other game areas are visible on the Map. They look like they are "cut out".

You are right, and that makes a lot of sense.
And somehow I knew Crystal Peak wasn't the place to go next as I needed the 1800 geo or so lamp which I harvested by killing the bug with the club around 40 times. But I'm stupidly stuborn and got totally blinded.

The resting grounds was purely my bad, I did not see the platforms for some reason. But please say that I don't have to defeat Miniboss who is harder than the Soul Master II - Flying ad edition to progress.

For reference: secret areas/walls (if not discovered) are not visible on the map, for obvious reasons.

Don't worry, most bosses and minibosses in this game are optional.
