Do i have to fight Flukemarm the boss is too hard and i keep getting overwhelmed?

EDIT: Ok guys i beat him i got fragile strength and went to its head and kept downward attacking him before he can even spit out flukeflyes. the item i get i hear is very good with shade soul and defenders crest super powered gas blast attack. i love it

It's a side boss.
Gives you a charm, nothing more.

If you wait until your Nail is fully upgraded than it will only take a single hit to kill the bastards that it spawns, making it a lot easier to prevent him from overwhelming you.

thats what im going to do i need to get the monarch wings now and continue the story i already upgraded my nail to lvl 3 but still getting rekt so screw him

I killed it pretty easily on my first try by keeping pogo-jumping straight above it with my nail down. I don't remember what powers I had at the time, but I think I could kill the spawns in one hit. They kept flying at my downward sword anyway. :-)

I tried that method but i couldnt kill the fluke boss before he produced his monsters i have channeled nail atm

If you happen to have fragile strength that can help a lot with the pogo strat, since it increases your damage by 50%. If not, you can always come back with a stronger nail later, since it is a really easy to get to.

I was accidentally able to kill Flukemarm effortlessly by simply using Desolate Dive one time directly above it. Instead of passing through, I got stuck on the top of it until it died, invincible and constantly damaging it. All of the Flukefeys it spawned also died immediately as well when they tried to charge me.

I don't know if you need precise positioning for this, I didn't even know it was a thing you could do. I was just going to Desolate Dive through it one time, and I ended up completely trivializing the fight.

Edit: Also the Flukefeys spawned by the boss each have 15 health, so you do not need to upgrade the nail completely to kill them in one hit.

Sharpened Nail + Fury of the Fallen = 19
Channeled Nail + Fragile Strength = 19
Coiled Nail = 17

The Old Nail cannot OHKO the Flukefeys with regular hits. It can be done with the Sharpened Nail, but not without Fury of the Fallen, so it isn't recommended due to the speed of the Flukefeys.

Pogo stick him. Don't mind getting hit by the spawns. Just make sure that you correct for their knockback and land on the head of the boss again with downward strikes. Goes down super easy and you only get hit about 4 times by spawns.

Expect it to be patched out.

But no, sword pogo is great. Abyssal Shriek with Shaman Stone can spam him to death really quickly, too.
