yep. bindings are just a personal challenge. tho, there is one thing that they do. you know the blue door next to the boss trophy room down below? it unlocks once you have done all bindings on the first 4 pantheons. inside the room, you will find a lifeblood thing, some object of some sort, which you must dream nail. once done, as a small bonus, you will get 1 lifeblood cocoon every time you get a resting area with the bench and soul spring in the 5th pantheon
this of course, is not needed for the 112% pure completion
Getting 8 bindings = lifeblood cocoons spawn in pantheons during rest points. Drop 3 lifeblood seeds.
Getting 12 bindings = Said cocoons drop 4 lifeblood seeds.
Getting 16 bindings = Said cocoons drop 5 lifeblood seeds.
Getting 20 bindings = Access to Land of Storms, where you can get a new journal entry. It's just more lore.
And you don't have to do all at once, you can do them one at a time. I actually recommend using first and second pantheons to get 8 bindings since lifeblood is helpful, but if it's too overwhelming don't do it.
EDIT: Steam really should say when someone posted a new message, I wasted my time.
o, i never knew that lol. i thought you had to enter the room to get the cocoons. so thas what the bigger spots in the door that count the bindings were about?
also i thought you had to defeat absolute radiance to enter the land of storms
And yes, that's what the bigger spots on the door mean. Showing that lifeblood increases on 12 and 16 bindings.
