Hollow Knight

Hollow Knight

Ver estadísticas:
THORNS ROOM IN GREENPATH
The agonizing pain.

I had 3000 Geo. I died in the Thorn room of Greenpath. I died again trying to go and collect my Shade.

After which I tried again.

And again.

And again.

And a g a i n.

It hurts. It really hurts.

So could someone tell me if there is something important behind that passage ? I don't care about spoilers, it can be the final boss down that alley, I just want to know if there is something essential to completing the game.

I manage to get to the long row of bugs, its when I try to nail jump on them that things go wrong, plus the fact that I lose two masks, one from getting hit by the insect, another from the floor.

I'm ready to bet that all the bosses together are cake compared to this puzzle. Flipping DARK SOULS is cake compared to this room.

Is there an ability that gives thorn resistance later on in the game.

If you're talking about what I think you're talking about then I believe you get that thorns charm which makes you deal AoE damage whenever you take damage

Assuming you're talking about this room, it leads to one of the Nail Arts.
The Nail Art is not required to finish the game, but it counts towards full completion and is a pretty helpful attack for some situations. So I'd suggest not giving up on it.

You'd be wrong, actually. Not to mention that you're going to encounter way harder platforming sections later in the game.

Which parts of the room are giving you the most trouble? If it's just the "long row of bugs", try using Longnail and Mark of Pride (just take care not to hit the thorns above you in this part). If that doesn't help, leave it for now and come back when you have more health, maybe with some defensive/healthboosting charms as well.

Yep, it is that room. I found out how to do it using Mark Of Pride to jump off the insects, then double jumps higher, dash, and restart. I didn't achieve it tho, but if it is just a nail art I'll wait for another occasion. I'm exploring Queens Gardens and Kingdom's Edge for the moment, I'm probably not supposed to go to that area until I have more health.

Might have found a way, is it possible to cancel a super dash in mid air ?

Yes, you can stop the super dash by pressing the super dash button or the jump button.

I must have been in Noob mode.

I managed it easily by using Super Dash, dash and double jump in rapid succession. Didn't even need to touch the insects.
