The Nail Art is not required to finish the game, but it counts towards full completion and is a pretty helpful attack for some situations. So I'd suggest not giving up on it.
You'd be wrong, actually. Not to mention that you're going to encounter way harder platforming sections later in the game.
Which parts of the room are giving you the most trouble? If it's just the "long row of bugs", try using Longnail and Mark of Pride (just take care not to hit the thorns above you in this part). If that doesn't help, leave it for now and come back when you have more health, maybe with some defensive/healthboosting charms as well.
Yep, it is that room. I found out how to do it using Mark Of Pride to jump off the insects, then double jumps higher, dash, and restart. I didn't achieve it tho, but if it is just a nail art I'll wait for another occasion. I'm exploring Queens Gardens and Kingdom's Edge for the moment, I'm probably not supposed to go to that area until I have more health.
I managed it easily by using Super Dash, dash and double jump in rapid succession. Didn't even need to touch the insects.
