I'm stuck

I am completely stuck at where I'm up to and have no idea where to go. There are points that I can see I need other items to get to like the double jump thing, but cant access them because I dont have that item or some other item that I also cant get at this point. If anyone could help me I would really appreciate it just ask what you need to know and ill try describe best I can.

The areas I have visited and have on my map are; forgotton cross roads, green path, fungal wastes, and queens station. I have also found fog canyon but have explored all I can of it as I can't get past the black smoke wall so I can buy the map for the area. The items I have are the moth wing cloak, map and quill, city crest, and the rancid egg. I've also got two hallownest seals that I'm not sure what to do with. I have the vengeful spirit upgrade too. I really hope you can help because I am really enjoying the game, I'm just frustrated I can't progress clearly.

Very cryptic, do you think you could give me a general idea so I dont have to wander for ages?

there is a sub-area in fungal wastes called mantis village, it contains a crucial item to progress. the entrance to the sub area is around the bottom right section of fungal wastes

Is that the point where I need to jump on the mushrooms? because I can't jump high enough when I try to

You need to find the mantis village. Yes, there is some jumping involved.

To bounce high, hold down and press attack to hit one of the round purple mushrooms. Then when you are in the air, press right/left to move. Down+attack is one of the big moves in the game. It will allow you to bounce off a lot of enemies and spikes.
