Ok I have beaten Grey Prince Zote 5 times

Such a pain in the arse but when exactly you get to take the freaking item in his room? I just found out someone said there is nothing rewarding in this...

You don't take an item from the room. You fight Zote like 7 or so times, and the shrine that looks like him turns gold.

Yeah it's purely for the " f u n " of fighting him with increased damage. Good practice for fighting him in Godhome on Radiant difficulty though.

spending ages to git gud is not worth it. Its a waste of time especially when you are not getting rewarded...

Opinions of overcoming challenge differ. The reward here is the moment of triumph the player gets from besting the challenge.

You get some dialogue with Bretta for beating him 4 times and the Gold Zote statue if you beat him 10 times. If neither of those appeal to you then yeah it isn't worth it for you.

I love challenge and already beat him 5 times and it wouldn't be a problem for me to go 10. I already got the dialogue but it was "meh" and i really dont care about the gold statue and i am glad i found out about this before actually defeating him 10 times.
