Early Mark of Pride?

Is there a way to get the Mark of Pride before defeating the Mantis Lords? I've been trying to use Dashmaster to get past the door quickly but the mantis is quicker to close it :/

nope, its strictly only obtainable after mantis lords. along with the other prizes given after beating them. it seems fitting and fair though, so there shouldn't be any need for it. but the short answer is no, i dont think so

Damn. With the amount of sequence breaking you can do I figured it would be possible. Too bad :/

I think you can kill the mantis through the wall with spore shroom but I don't think that'll actually help you get past the door.
