Problem with Sly (Shopkeeper)

I remembered that I bought only charms, keys and one vessel fragment (I didnt buy mask shard). Once I acquired all the nail arts and return to him, he went to the underground to reward me a Nail Charm. However, I came back with tons of Geos and want to buy all those fragments/shards but he only says "Off you go Nailmaster. I've nothing more to give you...". Need help with this.

He also literally tells you that hell be up in no time. So just leaving the shop and comming back throws him back behind the counter.

I'm sorry to resurrect the old topic, but maybe any of you came up with the solution?
If you fight the Guardian without waking him up is it possible for a key to not appear where it should be? The key is missing and is there any chance to recover it?

Could you specify a bit more info? What Guardian? What key? What is the problem exactly?

If you mean the Shopkeeper's Key, it is not behind any kind of boss.

Ohh, I am sorry, guys. I actually posted in the wrong topic (there's was another one pointing the specifics hence why I haven't mentioned it, my bad).

So thing is, I know the location of the key, however it's not here. After fighting the Guardian twice the key is still is missing. Catch point is that Guardian has been killed without waking up first with the poisonous amulet on. I'm curious whether the Guardian himself should trigger the key spawn or not? And what to do now?

If you mean the Crystal Guardian and Enraged Guardian, then if I remember correctly they are both not required to defeat to get to the Shopkeeper's Key location. So the way of defeating him doesn't matter (especially that this unlocked the Enraged Guardian fight).

Are you sure, that you haven't picked up the key already, and handed it over to Sly, but you don't remember it? It just happens automatically the first time you talk to Sly.

The Shopkeeper's key unlocks the following items in the store, check if you have any one of them:
— Heavy Blow Charm (350 Geo)
— Elegant Key (800 Geo)
— Mask Shard #3 (800 Geo)
— Mask Shard #4 (1500 Geo)
— Vessel Fragment #2 (900 Geo)

Hi again! Turns out you were right all along (I'm not even surprised) - they already pick and gave away the shopkeeper's key to Sly without noticing it, thanks to your list of items - so everything's good!

As to why it happened it might be for example that when going to Sly with the key after acquiring all Nail Arts, the key (probably) is given to Sly silently with no dialogue while receiving the Nailmaster's Glory Charm. So if this is true then it would be practically not noticed by the player. Might have happened to me on one of my later playthroughs, but I'm not 100% sure.

AH yes, that makes sense actually! It took me some good time to even get back to that area (Crystal Peak) so I was fully aware, while returning the key so I caught all the dialogues, but with your explanation I can easily see missing it as well (unless paying close attention when picking the key in the mines).
