Trial of Conqueror
I've been struggling to beat the Trial of Conqueror in the Colosseum of Fools. I always die when I get to the Belfly portion. I just dont have enough health bc of the friggin primal aspids (AKA the most annoying thing in the game) The current charms I have are Baldur Shell, Spore Shroom, Defenders Crest, Quick Focus, and Grubsong. I also have 7 masks and 1 vessel. Any help is greatly appreciated!

At first, try to get more masks and vessels before your next attempt. Also I think you shouldn't use so many charms to heal. There is plenty of time for heal between waves so you don't need play so defensive (besides, baldurshell just will not last till the end). Try to use more attack-oriented charms like quick slash and long nail. To deal with primal aspid you can use shaman stone (for magic of course). You can use hiveblood if you have problems with the part when you need to stay on the wall.

Thanks! Where do you get the quick slash charm? People always talk about it but I cant seem to find it.

You can find quick slash in the south-east corner of the Kingdom's Edge.

You can find quick slash in the south-east corner of the Kingdom's Edge.

More specifically, after Nailmaster Oro's hut, there's a breakable ground you can dive into that opens up a new area. Near the end of that place is the Quick Slash.

For the Belfly, you can just double jump to the side to avoid them (start jumping when they shriek, not when they appear. That would be too early). If you have Mark of Pride equipped, your nail range should be long enough to kill them without being hit, but I find jumping to avoid them much easier and less riskier.

For Primal Aspids, like the above poster mentioned, Shaman Stone Shade Soul pretty much one-shots them. Alternatively, Great Slash also one-shots them.

I see from your charm setup that you have 8 notches. I suggest getting the maximum number of notches (11) as it might help you. You might also want to try Nailmaster's Glory charm; Great Slash is really helpful in the trials. Apart from allowing you to kill Primal Aspids and Armored Squits in one hit, you can charge them while clinging to the wall - extremely helpful during the spiked floor no platform wave.

Quick focus is good but I would try to avoid leaning too heavily on charms that require healing to be of use. Grubsong and Thorns can be quite beneficial due to their low notch cost though. Dream Shield can be pretty overpowered against enemies that are difficult to approach unscathed. The shield can even open up opportunities for more healing whereas Baldur Shell will absorb hits but still cause you to be interrupted.

Also try to upgrade to the coiled version of the nail if you haven't already as that is the highest upgrade you can get by that point.

Using a charm to extend your nail reach is also widely useful. It alleviates the difficulties of reaching certain enemies when you have floor hazards to avoid as well as making the many easily pogo-able enemies that much easier to pogo.

Bellflies immediately self-destruct after appearing in the Colosseum. Just don't be on the platform when they start appearing but be on the wall to the side of the arena.

One thing that helped me a lot doing the colosseum (all trials) was the lv.3 nail, all 3 arts(expecially the charghed slash) and nailmaster glory
