Let's compile all our tips for beating the ascended collector here.
If I'm posting this, It goes without saying: I'm stuck on it. But I can only find a few tips in certain posts. I'd like anyone with any help for the fight to add it here.

I'll start: I saw someone say to do upwards hits at the enemies so that they're not pushed too far away from you so that you can hit them again quickly. But at this stage, I'm having trouble with the sharpened baldurs, because they rush towards you instead, and I can't react to them quickly enough. Also, when it gets to the point at which it drops three enemies, I've started to go to the edge of the room and just use shade soul to take them all out, with the shaman stone charm equipped. I don't want to replace any more of my charms than I already have with ones specifically for making this fight easier, because it will make the whole of the pantheon of hallownest harder.

Well Shaman Stone helps with Collector, Markoth, NKG, PV and AR; with that I suggest Spell Twister so you can more reliably annihilate all the adds when Collector is at the 3 add phase. Also in my experience it is more important to focus adds over dealing damage in the earlier phases since Collector doesn't grant any soul from being hit. This way if you did poorly on the fight before for your pantheon run or you are in the Hall of Gods you can build up soul to deal with the third phase. Remember Nail Arts are going to one shot adds and if you are in a pinch with a Primal Aspid just melee then instantly blast it with a spell. Of course always prioritize Primal Aspids if you can't wipe all the adds out in one blast. Other than that I can't think of anything to "add" :) I have yet to have Ascended Collector end any of my runs.

Thanks. I can't realiably use the nail arts unfortunately, because I'm playing on console, which is still on version 1.4.1.4, with the bug where it doesn't work most of the time. I hadn't realised that the collector itself doesn't give you soul. So I think I might have to change out another charm and adapt my playstyle to use spells a lot more.

Maybe put in Grubsong or Soul Catcher. Don't underestimate the area Descending Dark covers either. I'd try to help more but I don't know when each bench is for swapping out charms.

Also I just realised that I'm an idiot. The version of the boss in the pantheon is much easier than the "ascended" one in the place where you can practice against them. The practice one does two damage per hit, but the pantheon one does one. I was practicing against the harder one. I guess I don't need much help after all. But thanks anyway. Hopefully this information can be of help to someone else.

Grubberfly's Elegy, UB Strength, Quick Slash, Fury of the Fallen, Longnail.

Rush all the jars and spam them to take out primal aspids before they can fire projectiles at you.

EZ win.

Cyclone Slash is extremely effective against The Collector. As long as you are standing underneath his jump arc, you can strike both him and any Armored Squits (the rolling enemies) on either side of you. Squits will also dash toward you and be knocked back. The only really issue is Primal Aspids, which will keep their distance.

Shaman Stone will allow Shade Soul to one-shot all minor enemies (or at least both flying ones, I know for sure). Ideally, if you dash to one end of the arena and cast it across the room as the pots hit the ground, you can potentially wipe most or all of them out instantly. But keep in mind that you don't get soul from striking Collector, so you will need to attack enemies with your nail in some cases.

Honestly, I think this is one of the best strategies for this boss. You are almost fully protected while attacking.

Spam abyss shriek when he is next to you/jumping over you.

Get close to a falling jar without getting into its splash range (it's not that big), then strike upward twice to instantly delete whatever comes out of it.

Spam shade soul toward enemies (+ collector, bonus!) for those you didn't have the time to clear.

You can easily heal 2-4 times when he is staggered if you position yourself right and have a little bit of luck.

I don't use nail art against him but it's not a bad idea.

There is currently an exploit for him. Equip thorns of agony and dash into him before his intro
animation starts, you will be able to move and attack him during it after the thorns have come out. I should mention I'm using the Windows version, 1.4.2.9 beta branch.

I beat the radiant version using mark of pride, unbreakable strength, quick slash, shaman stone, steady body and something else I don't remember (maybe it was sprintmaster, but now I would recommend long nail, at the time I didn't know that it stacks with mark of pride).
Steady body helped me A LOT, because when you attack the enemies your are not pushed back and you can land 2 hits much faster, without risking that primal aspids shoot at you. You basically always move forward and crush them. Then it is just a matter of reflexes.
If there are too many enemies, move towards one side of the screen and use shade soul to kill all of them.

al inicio, previo a que inicie la batalla se le puede golpear cinco veces, por un bug, con golpe rapido.

Wait, THAT'S why heavy slash isn't working?!

Great Slash one-shotting every Colloseum creep that Collector spawns, mainly, Primal Aspids, so, Nailmaster Glory and the great slash is worth taking for the section of the Pantheon 5 right after Sheo. My tries without it most of the time are in vain, because aspids makes my life hell, and having to land 2 hits per creature to kill it, is just too much time spent, thus the Collector evades the damage and spawns more of them.
Even without Nailmaster Glory, Great Slash (the one given by Sheo, not the Oro) works wonders, and as a no-speller I absolutely admire that charm.

But hey, if we are talking spells, have anyone tested Flukenest with Shaman stone and all other spellcaster charms? I guess, it would be somewhat helpful to duck in a corner and spamm 2-3 flukenests, so that the flukes lays on the floor for a bit of time, creating a denial area, upon entering which the enemies are killed.
