MANTIS DOOR! FORGOT TO F-ING DASH!? NOW I AM SCREWED!?

So this is crappy game design 101.... they had a door with a mantis that flicks the switch if you dont dash through and its the ONLY dam bench close to the mantis lords, so i figured "No big deal i will just try again later" but nope the door is stuck closed, so the game just basically says "F YOU, YOU FORGOT TO DASH ONCE?! Lol goodluck jerk! Now you have to walk a mile to try the boss a second time"

Why? Why would they do that?

It closes regardless. You have to beat the boss to get in there

Sure, some benches are further from the boss than is ideal, but consider it time to calm down and think the fight through

You can get through there before the Mantis Lords? I figured that area was the reward for beating them.

No. That area is there to save after you beat Mantis Lords.
It also has Geo, Hallownest Seal, and Mark of Pride charm. All that is a reward for beating them.
You cannot enter that area until you beat mantis lords.

How is it bad game design if its not the intended way in there? You arent locked out, you dont have one chance to get in there, you beat the boss and you get let in there as a reward.

Are you retarded? Because someone made it with pin-point perfect dash at the perfect moment to enter, it's the game that is bad?

This room is intended to let "those who are worthy" to enter. You prove you are worthy by beating the boss.

Seems more like you're embarrassed that you didn't grasp what you were supposed to do, and now you're doubling down on your initial claim of bad game design.

♥♥♥♥♥♥ game design is placing something with no hint or warning of the consequences and than instantly walling it off cause you had no prior concept of the feature it was now using to ♥♥♥♥ you. Learn the basics of game design before challenging me. For example if you were playing a castlevania game and suddenly you fall through the floor with no prior hint that that could happen or display of that mechanic in a safe enviroment ( such as falling through and hitting a platform below ) you would feel cheated, thus why castlevania two is roundly considered badly designed.
If your going to introduce a challange to the game you need to first give your player some sort of indication that enamies can even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hit switched for one or that there is even time sensitive features to the game, not a single aspect of the challange was properly forshadowed or taught to the player.

Now as for why i am pissed? Cause i have to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ walk through 30 enamies before retrying a fairly hard frigging boss when the game placed a perfectly reasonable bench near by it that i cannot use cause I was not alerted to the threat, so cause of the bullshittery i now have no easy way to face down this boss. Nothing to do with embarrassment, i am not a proud person when it comes to my gaming skills, i am ♥♥♥♥ at metroidvania games and platformers in general you wont find me bragging about my mad skills, this boss is going to ♥♥♥♥ me 30 ways from sunday and the walk to getting my ass kicked agan and again is going to be frustrating and time consuming.

No pin point perfect dash or cheating just a pure and simple normal ass dash to make use of a bench closer to the boss. that it wants you to be clairvoyant to know what you are to do.
