Isn't Grey Prince Zote in third pantheon a bit too much?
The fact that I need to kill this boss (way harder than Sly IMO) while other people doesn't need to because they didn't save Zote is really unfair, what were you thinking Team Cherry? I can beat the pantheon but it's really hard and with all bindings.. nope, also if Zote don't kill me, Uumuu will send me back at the beggining (mostly because I always end up with 1-2 hp after Zote).

I don't know you guys, but I feel like the 4th pantheon (except the final boss) is easier than the third one...

So got to the Godhome on a let zote die run.... GPZ doesn't exist. Like no statue, and the third pantheon no longer has him in the images of bosses to beat before it opens. So there's that option if he's really difficult

So you're saying we should dash through his shockwaves? I tend to use my dash to get out of the way of his jump, and then jump over the shockwaves - a strategy that isn't working for me at all.

Honestly what i did was just spam attacks on him while he was spitting Zotelings, and then ran away from everything else. It's slow going, but you can tank a bit if you did well with the Galien fight. Lifeblood helps a lot too.

I would also appreciate any advice people can give for fighting Zote in the third pantheon. The Zote/Uumuu back-to-back fight is crushing me. I can only beat Zote maybe one out of three attempts and then only with a couple health. I'm not sure why but I just can't seem to dodge his attacks. And half the time if I do I get by the resulting shockwave anyway.

First of all, I would recommend you to wait for him to attack. Never strike first. His attacks can be very unpredictable, so the safest way to do this fight is to wait for him to initiate one of his own, and then react. If he starts running around swinging his sword, just pogo on his head, until he falls to the floor, then use Descending Dark. If he spawns any mini-Zote, kill them as soon as possible. They can be a pain when trying to heal. When he starts slamming the ground, avoid the shockwaves by either shadow-dashing or jumping (I find double jump to be more precise), then hit him 1 to 3 times and wait for a new attack. When he disappears on the ground, wait for him to appear on the top of your screen before dashing away, or else he will follow you. As soon as he lands, jump, there's a huge shockwave coming. Also, Fragile/Unbreakable Heart is pretty good in this fight, I always switch to it after Grimm (if you have the Fragile one, it won't break since the Pantheons count as dream-world bosses, so don't worry). I guess that's it. I'd recommend you practice a bit in that boss room to get used to his attacks.

Btw Uumuu is way easier than it looks. Just run around until he spawns a jellyfish that's in a good position for you to launch it at him. Be careful, if Uumuu is too close to you, the explosion will hit you too. Also watch out for the platforms, as the jellyfish can also hit them. I've heard you can use this fight to heal yourself since Uumuu is slow and allows for free dream-nailing (and despite never staggering, you can pretty much heal whenever he ceases one of his attacks), but that's up to you.

I spent a week on Pantheon 3. I practiced and practiced until I could beat Zote, Uumuu and Hornet 2 on Ascended difficulty in the Hall of Gods. They do get easier with practice - lots of it. Saying that, I had to switch to the Public Beta branch to get the nerfed Uumuu. He moves slower, has less HP and spawns more jellyfish.

I found the lifeblood from the bindings on P1 & P2 helped with Zote a lot. Galien is super easy with abyss shriek, and lots of dashing back and forth. Like the dude above me said, Uumuu is super easy to heal during. Other than that, all i can say is practice helps a lot.

I'm also kind of stuck on Zote for the time being. I don't normally do this but since I have so little free time these days I looked up some videos of him being beaten with full bindings. I noticed a lot of the damage people that play that way do to him comes from using Descending Dark from a fairly safe distance, so I'm going to give that a try. Another thing I suspect could help but I haven't had a chance to verify yet is the Dash Slash. The range on that move is immense, so it could perhaps help attack him from a safe distance, and it'll do a full 52 damage even with your nail bound.

Okay, so, Dash Slashes are out. GPZ moves too fast and the screen too small to actually get the distance right.

I just tried the third pantheon again, this time without binds... it's amazing how trivial this fight becomes with just the Nailmaster's Glory, let alone 9 masks or more. Being able to dodge his attacks and charge up a Great Slash immediately after and land it before he recovers means you'll be dealing a ton of damage without having to charge pre-emptively (which limits your defensive options). I mean you'll still get hit once or twice; I'm pretty sure some frequent combinations of attacks simply cannot be reliably dodged. The comments from people that actually beat him on Radiant seem to agree on that. It's a BS fight.

You can stupidly facetank him and come ahead with a dps-based build. At least I did it that way w/o bindings and it worked.

Uumuu git nerfed to become trash, and all other bosses in that pantheon including the last one are weak. So going for a specific build against Zote is ok I guess

Some of my tips for GPZ fight:
- Stay on the ground and attack GPZ from the ground. It is the safest and easiest way to deal damage. The only exception is when he starts running and waving his nail — in that case you should jump on his head and do downslashing untill he finishes this attack.
- Jump only when you have to. GPZ jumps like a crazy so he can easily intercept you in the air.
- If he starts running at you then just shadowdash through him. If he is waving his nail then shadowdash through him and jump on his head and do downslashing untill he finishes this attack.
- Do maximum damage when he is summoning zotelings. Deal with them as he stops.
- If GPZ is falling from above, run away so you will have enough time to jump over the shockwave.
- Heal only when he lies on the ground.

My charmset for this fight: quick slash, unbreakable strenght and longnail. Three other slots you can use as you want. Btw, usually I take dreamwielder to dreamnail uumuu in the next fight which allows me to restore all the lost masks.
