Quick attack can also help you get more soul, since it'll let you squeeze in three hits during openings where you'd normally only get two.
I personally figure they're just mobile Elder Baldur with melee attacks they may hardly ever use, so I'd use a build designed around never using Soul, since they'll be super mobile.
Meaning Glowing Womb, Unbreakable Strength (since charm damage is based directly off of your nail damage), Grubsong, Weaversong.
Since I have bad memory on notch requirements and notch maximums, I then add any charm that'll help me, but I base it on: It cannot add to anything that delays your control or movement, even for a second. Meaning no spells, heals or even Thorns.
So Steady Body or Sprintmaster are my usual picks.
Reason I choose charms like that, is because I mainly dislike using spells, partly because I'm unsure of how much damage they do compared to say... MNail or Nail3 attacks.
Also I notice that Thorns, if you're not great at a fight and you take damage, it delaying you like 2-3 seconds in the fight, ends up also eating your Iframes after damage completely, so you will most likely take more damage.
Also, once you learn how to move around in a boss fight, you'll want as little impairment of control as you can get to get the most out of it.
But I mainly just use nail attacks only and have never tried the Spell builds, so I'm obviously biased.
