Jokes aside, he is not that difficult once you learn the patterns, it all comes down to read him and know how to dodge every attack and when to strike.
All of his moves are very telegraphed

Don't worry, we thought you meant him in the godmaster extension. ( a boss rush extension )

To fight him, you'll need to remember his pattern. You can do it.

I recommend your first time beating Grimm having maxed out health, soul, nail and charm notches. Not saying it can't be done without maxed everything but until you understand his moves and have the muscle memory to dodge and deal damage it is best to have as much strength as possible. Long Nail, Unbreakable Strength are my go to charms for every boss. Maybe use Sprint Master to help dodge and Fragile Heart or Life Blood Core to buy you a few extra hits so you can learn more from each loss.

Well, i see that you didn't unlocked shadow dash yet, and didn't beat the game yet.

Don't try grimm now. The DLC's are harder than the main game, so you may want to come back once you've beaten the game, and gained experience.

Or you can keep going, but it will be a bit hard with your current skill.

here's what my build looked like when i fought him:


i fought normal grimm after i had already maxed out my nail, masks, and soul.

not 100% certain on this, but i think my charms were:

mark of pride
unbreakable strength
quick focus
grubsong?
steady body
