Beside that You can beat any boss at any time, and whole map will be open all the time.
There are also NPCs choices but it has nothing to do with bosses.
So yea go and beat his tiny ass
Not any more than most bosses. Just yet another corpse infected by the light.
BTW should I go to Deepnest yet ?
Congratz.
With the dash and the double jump most of the map is open to you (I assume that if you defeated Dung Defender it means that you cleared Royal Waterways which means that you got Isma's tear? If not, you may want to get it).
Personally I wouldn't go to deepnest right now but to Kingdom's edge, but the order in which you clear areas doesn't really matter that much at this stage, it's just that there's still one ability you're missing still and the way to gain access to it is in Kingdom's edge (although the ability itself is somewhere else), but again, most of the map is now accessible to you, so if you want to explore deepnest you can.
I don't want to tell you too much because i don't know how much you want to know versus how much you want to explore by yourself.
If you haven't upgraded your nail to level 3, you might want to do that.
Gl & hf.
I would like to know which zone lets me into Kingdom's Edge tho, wherever that is.
Kingdom's edge can be accessed through the second part of City of Tears (which you may or may not have already accessed through an exit of Royal Waterways), to the east of City of Tears, through an abandoned Stag Station you can find a hidden pathway to Kingdom's edge.
It can also be accessed through Ancient Basin, but you'll need to take the tramway (and the tramway has to be unlocked with the tram pass, which is in deepnest).
A third way to access Kingdom's edge is through the elevator, which is also in the second part of City of Tears.
Good luck.
I forgot that there's also a fourth way to Kingdom's edge directly from the Royal Waterways, but if I remember correctly it's hidden behind a breakable wall in the area where you get Isma's tear.
Also, the passage in the elevator shaft may not be accessible directly through the shaft, maybe you need to break it from the other side, which would make it more of an "exit" than an "entrance" as long as you haven't broken it from the other side, I don't remember, but I guess you'll see for yourself.
