If instead of jumping, he teleports into the air, you ran too far away from him and he does that to close the gap. Be sure not to be so far away that he's no longer on the screen.

It's mostly just my luck that the pillars didn't hit me.
PV seems to be harder than the NKG boss fight and he's the only enemy that is keeping me from beating the final patheon. (I didn't reached Radiance yet so I can't say if she's going to be harder)
I already watched the guides about the Pure Vessel and still struggling for weeks.
Very interesting to know that being off-screen would make the pillar attack more difficult to dodge. Thanks.
