Zote and Bretta question

So its my secon attempt because i love this game so much. I'm really at the end of everything. I saved Bretta and Zote once in greenpath (i didnt fight with him in colloseum) also i leave Zote in web almost like for my whole game becasue i wanted achivment "leave Zote to die" i thoung it should work, like, Spiders can you eat him already...

But after a long time he was still in Deepnest and he was still screaming so i decided to punch him (i didnt remember if i need to punch him and then leave him) but i just freed him
(i didnt really want to) Ok i go back immidiatly to Dirtmouth to see if he appear but nope.

And the question is if i need now to defeat him in trials of fools? After that he will be in Dirtmouth ?
(I really dont want that to happend) ,

Also i want 100% hunter's journal so :
I really need to eventually go to trials of fools now beat Zote and then defeat Prince Zote to obtain it ?
And for the Achivment "leave Zote to die" I need to leave him twice to obtain it ?

You have to beat a couple of enemies that are in Trial of Fools to get 100% for the journal, yes.
Grey Prince Zote is not needed, though. You have to defeat regular Zote in the first easy trial for him to wppear in Dirtmouth.
For the neglect achievement you need to NOT SAVE Zote in Greenpath. When you come back later he will be dead and you have to hit his mask to get the achievement.

You can get zotes entry another way, so you can leave Zote to the spiders if you so fancy.

There is a way to get his entry at endgame without doing the coliseum of fools.

You can kill him with the spiders, you just had to get closer to him
