Next step after the Crystal heart
I got the crystal heart and I read here and there that the next step is to go through crystal peak's dark area, which requires an overpriced upgrade. I refuse to believe the devs would put such a troll mechanic to advance, what is the "proper" way to continue the main game?

Buy fragile greed---> Forgotten Crossroads----> Kill Husk Guard----> realize that 1800 isnt that much-----> profit. Alternatively ------> Lemm that is all.
The total amount of Geo needed to buy absolutely everything is over 69k.

36k of which partains to making fragile charms unbreakable.

There is no "proper" way. There is optimum routes, but it is for speedrunners. Just explore your way. The lantern isn't even mandatory to finish the game.

Mind you half of that is to upgrade some charms that you don't even need.

Wait, does this mean you already went into Crystal Peak and you now have the Super Dash?
Wasn't the 1800 geo lantern the one you needed for Crystal Peak, instead of after?
You can also get to Crystal Peak with DDive.

No way I'm farming gold in any game. I'll either get a trainer or ditch the game if it's mandatory.

You missed the part where people said it's not that much money.
But just go ahead and uninstall if you can't be asked to do that, and don't come back

I actually had enough artifacts and backtracked to the buyer (not intentionally, was just trying to go back to city of tears), and now EVERYTHING is coin based: saving, fast travel, progress... seriously why didn't anyone point that out in reviews?

because most players typically end up with so much cash by midgame from killing enemies, rescuing grubs, and accumulating/selling relics that it's essentially a non issue. the only purchases that require actual effort in mid to late game are fragile charm upgrades..

my advice for accumulating geo is to rescue the kidnapped grubs. you get a grand total of 7300 geo, and it's pretty easy to integrate rescuing them into regular exploration

EDIT:

additionally, you get 1000 geo for beating the first trial in the collosseum.

Because occasionally giving a slot machine 80-300 geo to unlock a bench or Stagway means absolutely nothing as you're progressing. If the player isn't you, apparently.
You're exaggerating anyways, as most "progression" does not require Geo, and many benches do not require Geo either.
