Also, yeah, i think it is the REAL hollow knight, who went to see hornet. The one who was sealed inside the black egg. Since radiance is dead, he is probably set free now, since he's not infected anymore.
The "thing" that killed Radiance is our knight or the abyss itself? There is too much void to be our character.
Did you noticed that the "thing" looks like The Hunter? The eyes, the roar (if the one who meets Hornet is not the Hollow Knight, but the "thing"). And if so, then... does it mean that maybe The Hunter killed the previous gods in hallownest? You know, we don't know so much about him.
I know, maybe I'm imagining too much but this game can't keep my mind quiet, I need more opinions... and more content (please Team Cherry <3).
What i think, from this ending and the cutscene from pantheon 4 :
After beating radiance, our knight have fused with his every brothers in the void, becoming that monster.
However, because of how strong it was, it seem to have go on a rampage.
Hornet, who was waiting at the black egg... have met the Hollow Knight. Since he was freed from the infection, he could go free from his prison, but since he's part of the void too, he went on a rampage too. ( Thus, hornet being on guard the moment he saw him )
So, the Hornet DLC, will probably a campaign, to kill not the light, but the Void Itself. ( The bigass monster we saw, being the final boss. )
The Hollow Knight has a mind and will of its own, the ending happens like that because the hollow knight is dragging its nail on the ground and Hornet is surprised to see it so she draws her blade.
Yes.. The whole dialogue goes
