but really tho there isnt really much i can say except that its sort of like fighting in a fighting game,
wait for or bait out his attack, and also to point out the obvious incase you werent doing it, dodge away when you see him attack and dont go through him, shade dash isnt long enough, then when the attack is finished dash to him and attack, or if you are very close just go to him and attack, and i realize this isnt very useful but there really isnt anything else
All you need to do to beat him is counter what he does, being on the offensive will get you killed.
You always have a safe window of attack every time he gets out of the spin attack. When he does the cyclone, he'll bounce off the wall, so sticking to the side of the wall on that attack will help you dodge it. Most of his attacks have some specific audio queues that'll help you predict him. He has plenty of windows of attack, but after the spin attack is the safest one.
As for phase 2, you have two options.
Either you give yourself enough space to be able to dash away from his spin attack and counter, or you just beat him in a dps race and facetank him as hard as you can. The latter is actually not that hard to pull off if you performed well in the first phase.
then all u have to do is just start swinging your nail at him as fast as u can. DONT DODGE. just attack. with quick slash u will block alot of his attacks. but if u just focus on hitting him as fast and hard as u can he will die before u do. and when he is lying on the ground, heal. then when he gets back up, just start ♥♥♥♥♥ slapping him again until he dies.
- when he does the one-two then spins in the air; as he lands he is vulnerable.
- when he cahrged up his slash, if you can get behind him quickly, he's vulnerable. Don't dally too long near him though.
Probably his most difficult first phase attack, but if he whirlwinds, try deserpately to pogo off of him; it will knock him down and propel you away. If you're on the ground, he'll simply keep hitting you, so that's not an option.
As for his second phase, again; patience. wait till after he spins at you, then try to get a hit in. Don't worry if you miss; this fight is a war of atrition. Rinse and repeat until you win.
Also, you'll probably only get one chance to heal, and that's when he's stunned between his first and second phase. If you're lucky, you can heal 2 masks, but usually can heal only 1.
Hope that helped!
I concur. I personally used Mark of Pride (though not in conjunction with Longnail; had too many charms. If you feel you need the extra reach, feel you're getting hit too much due to being to close, I reccommend using both teogether).
First phase I chose to jump over his dash slashes instead of shade cloaking through them.
I dashed away from him during his great slashes
His spinning attack I try my best to dash away from it (it slows down when he hits the ground).
When he hits the ground he usually swings his nail over his head to both sides, you can get one hit in before he swings to your side, then dash away, once he swings back to the other, dash in and get another hit in.
For his second phase I prefered to stay in the middle or away from the walls, and dash away when he jumps at me, then dash back quickly to him after he stops spinning to get a hit in. Alternatively you can fire a shade soul at him while he's spinning as there's no time to heal in this stage.
I recommend healing twice between his staggers and stages.
