How to start Godmaster DLC
(I'll keep spoilers at minimum)

1. Go to the Colosseum of fools, to the right there's a small area. Get the key
2. Go to the Royal Waterways. In the area right before Flukemarm, go to the upper left side and find a breakable wall near an exploding bug.

Spoiler-ish text version if you don't want to or can't watch the videos:

1. The Key: Head into the Colosseum of Fools and go to that dead end on the right side. The wall there is now breakable. You'll reach a new area where you'll have to drop down into some acid and find a new enemy that you'll scare off. Follow him up into a square-shaped area. He can be chased around and defeated in this area, where he will drop a Simple Key.

2. Where you use it: Head to the Royal Waterways (ideally from the city entrance) and work your way down to the area where the Flukemarm boss fight was. Just before that long, grub-drenched tunnel that leads to her boss room, jump upwards and follow the path up toward the shortcut you may have broken earlier. Avoid the exploding bat enemy, and then attack a new breakable wall in the upper left corner right next to where it was roosting. This opens a new area where the Simple Key is used to start the new DLC content.

Ty man, got the key on my own but would have never thought about checking the waterways.

I suppose it's consistent with past dlc, but I wish the devs wouldn't put so much expansion content behind a single breakable wall in a random area. For a first-time player, miss that wall and a ton of content is just unavailable. (And for a returning player, good luck finding that one random new breakable wall on your own.) All it takes is one line of npc dialogue pointing you in the right direction to make this much more reasonably discovered.

I completely do agree. How on earth did anybody figure this out? Examining every area in the game again and again? This is just stupid. Yay, DLC but unfortunately nobody knows how to even start it. What's the point?
