Grimm Troupe File Restore *BOTH ENDINGS WITHOUT PLAYING THROUGH AGAIN*

Okay, so if anyone here is trying to figure out how to get both achievements for the game without playing through all over again for 40+ hours, here's how to do it. I just tested it out and it totally works. If you JUST got the full-powered Grimmchild or the Carefree Melody, DO NOT PLAY. If you stopped saving and haven't done anything else, then you should be fine. If you've saved a few times since then, well, heaven help you. It depends on how much you saved after receiving one of the charms upon completion of a Troupe story arc. Here's my journey, spelled out so anyone can figure this out:

Assumptions: the file that you are worried about is currently in the #1 save slot. If not, adjust instructions accordingly.

1. Go to C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\LocalLow\Team Cherry\Hollow Knight
2. You'll see a bunch of files, copy ALL of them to a different location on your PC (I'd reccomend the desktop in a folder called "Hollow Knight Backup"
3. Look at the "Date Modified" timestamps and see when your user1.dat was modified.
4. Now the experimenting starts. Look at the rest of the files and pick the one that is the next most-recent file and rename it to user2.dat (or 3 or 4. Just pick any number that is currently not being used as a user#.dat file). I personally had to use a file that said "user1_1.4.2.4.dat", as that one was the most recent data file I could use that would allow me to complete the other ending. Sadly, I have to fight Grimm for the second time...a second time. But, at least no significant things took place between this save and taking the Banishment path, so it's all good. Actually.....I think I did a few Zote fights as well but oh well. NBD.
5. Boot the game and select the new file, and complete the rest of the Grimm Troupe alternate ending material. Then, continue to play on whichever file your heart desires as you try to get 112% completion.
6. IF THIS DIDN'T WORK, then delete the folder, and re-paste all the files from your Hollow Knight Backup folder and experiment with a next-most-recent file and work your way down until you find a save that places your character before activating one of the endings to Grimm Troupe.

If this is confusing, please let me know and I'll try and edit this and make it sound more clear. But know that <b>this did work and I'm currently listening to my backup file play as my new primary file with my vanilla save in the #2 slot</b>. This does work.
