Sharp Shadow's extended range is a downgrade
If you are fighting a boss on a completely simple, plain arena, it helps a little. Anywhere else... well, the entire plataforming is completely crafted for the regular-sized dash. In queen's gardens there are many small plataforms that require simple dashes without jumps to get on; in bosses like Xero, Markoth, No Eyes and Uumuu (especially in pantheon 5), the plataforming gets A LOT harder with the extra range. I really wish I could use this charm for NKG and PV, since this is how I beat them in P4 and Grimm Troupe / Hall of Gods, but on the boss run with extra plataforming, it is a lot harder.

Inb4 I need to git gud or whatever.

I can safely say Sharp Shadow isn't required for either fight (I don't think I personally ever dash through either of them), so you could always practice them without it. I imagine the reason for the extra range is to more reliably travel through enemies and come out the other side instead of ending up inside them.

I also have that problem, I used Sharp Shadow for Sly and I got used to doing it that way but phase 2 with that charm is 10 times harder

So I needed to get used to beating him without it :(

PS: Git gud Kappa

Isn’t there a bench shortly before them

There is a bench but Markoth comes before NKG and PV :/ I did manage to get past him, but with only like 4 masks before NKG. It was painful. The other time I got to NKG I didn't have SS, and I wasn't ready to deal with that lol. Other than that I haven't had such luck anymore. I just wish I could unlock AR and see how it feels to fight her.

I know it is possible, but for shadow dash frequent users like me... It's just so much easier. The effort you make jumping and pogoing is way more complex and requires more reflexes than simply dashing through the bosses. The extra damage coming from that is just a bonus for people like me. I can beat most bosess using shadow dash without sharp shadow, and I rarely get hit by going inside the enemies. NKG and PV are a wall for me just because I'm used to SS. A shame I have to relearn the entire fight aftermy muscle memory has made them almost easy.

I feel you, bro. I personally find it harder to do Sly with sharp shadow because I usually dash away from him instead of into him, so the extra range gets in my way since he gets away too fast. But it's a pain getting used to playing without it just because of SS's extended range.
