4 hours to beat the path of pain. How about you?

It takes 5 minutes if done perfectly. It took me between 3 or 4 hours....Not feeling bad about it. It actually feels great.

Did you have similar timings?

Can someone pass the 3rd section to the throne with my save-game, sit on the throne, take the second piece of the king's mask and throw me the saves-game back with the section that was passed?
My save-game on the bench is already inside the 3rd section.
I'm just tired of trying to do this for several hours in a row. On the keyboard, it is impossible for me to go through. I am completely out of the game, I have only a little bit left until the end of the game, but this white castle spoils everything.
And the path of pain I do not need. The basic version of the white castle is enough for me =)
I generally hate all these jumps with saws and spears.

It is impossible to pass this area, the protrusion is too small + the spines interfere from the top right. How do other people go through this?

Just did not sit on the throne, immediately grabbed the amulet (
  although it is unlikely to give an achievement, so it does not matter

Just over three hours for me, the majority of which was spent on the final section. I actually really enjoyed the path of pain, mostly because I went into it with a mindset of "I'm going to fail", so there wasn't much frustration. Eventually, dying and trying over became so mechanical that I just flowed through it. To beat the path of pain without the pain, one must embrace the void, see the game through the eyes of the vessel. No mind to think, no will to break, no voice to cry in suffering. If that hidden idea was deliberate, then kudos to team cherry, cause that's deep.

This mindset helps a ton. I enjoyed Getting Over It With Bennett Foddy a lot for the same reason; you know the game is made to both make you fail yet allow for improving at it as you go, and it makes failing almost... no, not almost; it makes failing actually enjoyable.

Like 4 hours the first time, 5 minutes now. When I went in there the first time I had a lot of fun since I've always liked pogoing stuff in the game. Getting a platforming section of that level dedicated to pogo was honestly a great decision on TC's end.

the first time i tried, i was still a noob and got to the last part in about 3 hours then gave up. now i can beat it in about an hour

Probably best not to flex about this - especially best not to necro an old thread. If any of the people who originally posted here are still playing the game, they may have some unreal completion times.

Generally speaking, since PoP is so short, I'm sure any of us can learn to do it really well with a good plan for movement, as long as we have the ability to learn from our mistakes.

I'm pretty sure I have done PoP in less than 10 minutes personally. It's been a while though, so my next attempt may well take 10-15 minutes, and I'm sure there are folks around here who have completed it faster than my 10 minute-ish time.

My first time probably took me around 2-4 hours of continuous puzzle solving and attempts. Just redoing the PoP for fun a bunch of times without even trying to get better at it at all, my time came down that much, so it just goes to show how much of this is simply learned along the way, based in practice.

I was streaming my run of Path of Pain, and it took me about 30 minutes to beat it. I didn't realize it was such a big deal, until one of my viewers told me I was insane cause' I beat it in that time, "AND WITH GRIMMCHILD?!", (he said something along those lines).

I felt pretty good about that :D

No but you unlock a shortcut partway through.

I think my first playthrough of the Path of Pain took me ~3 hours, I can't remember exactly, and I almost died to the Kingsmoulds at the end. I do, however, remember installing a mod to let me redo the whole thing, and doing it in under 50 minutes, without Hiveblood. That was fun.
