Where to go after Soul Master?

I beat Soul Master, Lord Mantis, Hornet once, False Knight. Now I feel kinda lost. Where should I go?

And I can't follow Hornet anymore since I need some new powers I think.

You can either go East from the Crossroads, South from the City (requires a key though), or West from the Mantis Lord arena (you probably want the lantern first for this one). There are probably more, but those are the major ones I can think of.

I think there are more routes you can take from there. My best recommendation would be Crystal Peak from the Crossroads since you need the desolate dive from the Soul Master or the lantern from Sly if I remember correctly.

If you're heading to Crystal Peak first you won't need the lantern to access it because you can use desolate dive from the Soul Master.
That's why I would recommend this route to begin with. You don't have to farm for the lantern actively. If you decided to explore other areas now you'd probably need the lantern which is very expensive. In Crystal Peak you'll get a quite a bunch of geo and you can purchase the lantern afterwards in order to get to the other areas. The most common sources of geo: selling relics at Lemm in City of Tears and from rescuing the Grubs (those cute caterpillars).
