Traitor Lord is about to make me quit.
♥♥♥♥. This. Fight.

Who the hell thoght any of this was a good idea?

I made a dream gate right next to it, so at least I don't have to do the platforming ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t, but everything about this fight sucks. I'm not sure Cloth is even hitting him, to be honest. She just gets in the way.

♥♥♥♥ those disks he throws in particular, everything else is relatively simple to dodge.

Get I get some tips please, and maybe charm setups that would help? I have 9 notches.

They changed him in the life and blood update I believe.. Before that he was extremely easy.. in fact ridiculously so. I haven't tried the new version of him yet, but if you find the disks annoying you could try the charm that makes you invulnerable for a longer time aftter getting hit.

edit: I can't spell

The "trick" for this fight is to remember that you need the shadow dash to get to it, and it's in a tiny arena -- this fight is all about using the shadow dash to avoid damage. Make sure you don't dash unnecessarily so that your shadow dash is available when you need it, use it to go through his attacks, and bop him when you can. When I recently replayed the game, I found the first few attempts at this fight quite hard. Then I started to use shadow dash strategically instead of just zooming around, and I beat him easily.

I killed him today *-* I died a lot but, I got it.

My strategy:
You need to equip Nailmaster's Glory charm to decrease time of charging nail arts.
Don't care about Quick Slash or Fragile Strength as in my strategy, you only hit him with Great Slashes.
You also need the best nail in the game - Pure Nail. (You can go with a weaker nail, just know the fight will last longer).
Basically, every time he's about to dash at you or jump at you, you shadow dash into his direction, then walk towards him and hit him with Great Slash; repeat.
Also, since you're always close to him, he will very rarely (if ever) use his orange disks attack.
He has 800 HP, and Pure Great Slash deals 52 damage, so he will die in 16 hits.
As of other charms... I recommend Fragile Heart + Lifeblood Core; they give you in total enough HP to guarantee a victory as long as you don't get TOO off-guard (Don't try to heal btw, this is not a boss where you want to do that); and if you have 2 spare notches equip Weaversong for extra damage.

Thanks for the help, everyone.

I actually ended up cheesing him a "pets" build I found somewhere else after dieing during the scene where He and Cloth kill each other and having to do the entire fight again.

Cheap, sure. But man I hate this fight.

Is it safe to say this is the hardest non Dream Boss fight?

Nosk, I found new traitor lord not too bad. Maybe different playstyles.

Nosk is easy. Traitor Lord on steroids is the hardest one. The second one are those damn bugs before dreamer in sentinel tower.

Watcher Knights? Yeah, they are also a problem too LOL 6 (or 5) Knights in a battle who are just spinning and rolling around :steammocking:

Watcher Knights are, in my opinion, the hardest non-dream boss.

Watcher Knight and Grimm
Epic_Caesura Jun 20, 2018 @ 11:01am
Near the end of the game (and there's no reason to do it sooner, since only the end of the game is behind them), the Watcher Knights can be facetanked almost without a scratch. With a maxed nail and attack charms, a knight can be killed as it spawns before it gets to do anything. If you want to do it earlier, though, and you want to fight them in a straight-up "avoid and hit" style, then I agree it's a pretty hectic fight.

I didnt think Watcher Knights were all that hard, but I fought them late, I guess. Grimm though, yeah. Fighting him right now and he's a jerk. Not "cheap" though like Traitor Lord. It looks like I CAN dodge everything, I just need to get better at it.

Now, what I'm about to say isn't something everyone can agree on, but... If you're trying to speedrun the game with any%; for either achievements or the leaderboards; you HAVE to fight them underpowered. Yeah, I know someone beat the game 106% in 3 hours or so, but it requires so much skill and knowledge of the game and pre-determing routes that most players can forget about trying that.
Yes, I know beating the game in under 5 hours is literally the second-to-last least obtained achievement in the game. But what I'm getting at is for 1% of players, there IS a reason to do it sooner.
I don't know why I wrote this.
