Just doing a list of how many times it took me to beat each boss in this game. Just beat it and I want to see how I compare.
Broken Vessel: 3rd
Brooding Mawlek: 4th
Crystal Guardian (First): 1st
Crystal Guardian (Second): 2nd
Dung Defender: 1st
False Knight: 1st
Flukemarm: 1st
Gruz Mother: 1st
The Hollow Knight: 2nd
Hornet (First): 2nd
Hornet (Second): 1st
Mantis Lords: 5th
Nosk: 1st
Soul Master: 5th
The Collector: 1st
The Radiance: 9th
Traitor Lord: >20th
Uumuu: 1st
Watcher Knight: 3rd
Grimm: 2nd
Hive Knight: 1st
Lost Kin: 4th
Failed Champion: 7th

P.S. If you notice it took a while to beat Traitor Lords its because I was using a faulty XBOX ONE controller at the time; the jump button didn't work at all!
Still haven't beaten all the bosses so may edit it after.

I would say you're pretty good. Most of bosses under 5 tries. But just you wait for when you get to finals of Grimm Troupe, highest difficulty, best fight.

As far as i can remember:

failed Champion: more than 10 (third hardest boss for me)
Grimm: third
The Collector:2nd
Mantis Lord: 1st
The Hollow Knight:first
Soul Master: First
The Radiance: more than 5
Watcher Knight: 3
Don't remember other yet

Failed Champion was innitially quite hard but as soon as you realise you can just behind him for easy hits its just about dodging (well, for me atleast)

Even better when you can shadow dash through them. With shadow cloak any boss becomes twice easier. But even that doesn't change the fact I fought Radiance 20 times for the first time and 30 times NKG. Rest don't remember because it way too long ago.

if you beat NKG can you still get all the unbreakable charms?

I only did soul steel mode for the achievements. I don't like it in games where it's mostly just tacked on, so I cheesed the "die once" rule by restarting the game whenever I got close to dying, lol. And I recommend it to anyone attempting it too.

its after you beat Grimm. If you collect the rest of the fire you can go back and find him sleeping. Dream Nail that dude and prepare to die.

That's excatly how NKG fight goes:
Collect 3 remaining flames
Go to grimm tent
Go to Troupe Master Grimm
Dreamnail him
Realize that you have to equip Grimmchild
Go back to Dirthmout bench
Equip Grimmchild and rethink you charm setup since you only have 9 charms avaiable now
Go back to Grimm
Dreamnail him
Prepare to die while walking towards the arena
Watch the epic entrance
Die unprepared
Try again
Die again
Repeat
Repeat 3 times
Go back to bench and rethink your charm setup again
Face Nightmare King Grimm again
Die again but don't give up
Fight and lose again
Repeat
Repeat continuosly
Eventually succeed
Lay back on chair while trying to take back control of your trembling fingers
Submerge in your well deserved glory
