There's a room on the east side of City of Tears near the elevator to the Resting Grounds that locks when you go too far into it and starts spawning a lot of sentries of every type.

What I want to know is, what's the intended way of beating this room? The enemies keep spawning continuously and attack continuously leaving no opportunity for me to heal, and they spawn on top of me and in groups of at least 3 giving me no way to avoid taking damage.

What I did was take out the flying enemies first, then run to the opposite end that the ground enemy is at and heal (I had Quick Focus at the time). Using spells can also help if you line up enough enemies, but that takes away soul you could be healing with.
My advice is to have quick foucus on and try to just avoid attacks as mush as possible and to only attach when they get close, focus on killing the ones you feel most threatened by and leave the last one alive so you can heal before the next wave starts. Trust me there is a reward at the end:hollowknight:
Use spells, use them with charms such as Shaman Stone, Soul Catcher, Soul Eater, Spell Twister, or Grubsong.

Use Desolate Dive when they get too close (jump into the air and let them walk underneath you first for maximum damage potential).

Use Vengeful Spirit from afar, and if you have it at this point, use Howling Wraiths for the Flying Sentries.

If you utilize spells properly, you shouldn't even need to heal for this encounter.
