Tips against NKG?

He was already hard enough, and since the Lifeblood patch I need to waste 2 notches to equip that useless Grimmchild (and he doesn't even appear on the f'ing fight). This really pisses me off. Any tips? I've tried a few charm combinations but this fight still feels impossible to me.

His attacks are extremely predictable. Don't bother with defensive charms, go full offensive. The flame pillars are the best time to do damage, so you can focus on dodge on another attacks.
Don't bother using your soul on healing, you don't have time. Spend it on the shriek spell, it does the most damage.

Just as we did it before. Just gotta build up muscle memory to avoid any of his moves.

P.S. The fact that the Grimmchild must be equipped and does not shows in a battle itself just blows. I wanted to make a video of defeating NKG with Grimmchild as one and only damage source, but Team Cherry realized his overpowerness, it seems, after I've demolished the Trial of Fools with this little beast.

They really need to implement a repeat boss battle system, or the popular boss rush mode. If I want to fight him again, I'd have to play through the game again. I really enjoyed the fight.
