Mr Mushroom ending

so i went to all the locations with the mushrooms spore charm on then defeated the true final boss once again and i didnt get the ending am i doing something wrong?

There is a specific order to the locations. Also the ending you get before doesn't matter.

You need to make sure you get the final dialogue from Mr Mushroom when he finally starts talking to the player instead of someone else. I think there's 7 encounters altogether.

Did he fly away after the final conversation? Then beat either end boss and sit through the credits.
