Commonly Missed Enemies
I'm currently working on getting the Hunter's Mark and don't have the patience to cross check the wiki right now. Are there any enemies you got towards the end of the Journal that were particularly rare or memorable? Locations would be appreciated. I need around 12 more enemies (Radiance doesn't count i believe)

u know the things that shoot lasers in crystal peak? where u have to platform really well to get past those? they are unkillable by nail but u can kill them by spells... that was the last enemy for the hunter's journal for me...

There are ...4? Hidden enemies that are invincible, but dead versions of them are placed in side rooms/secret rooms that give you their journal entries. I know that there's the electric fly things' entry in Monomon's archive, and the void tendrils are hidden in a room through a secret hallway above that place in the abyss on route to where you get the shade cloak.
I don't quite remember where the gloam or garopede are.

You have to do the trial of the conqueror twice to get the full entry for that trial's last fight, the ... obblebobbles? I think.

There's also the swimming/flying spiky durandoo things, which you can kill with magic or hitting them in the face.

I don't remember where those turn up in the order of the journal.

I don’t recall needing to redo the trial of the conqueror, but it’s been a while so you might need to.

Gorgeous Husk is another one that is easily missed, it’s in a secret back room in one of the buildings in the City of Tears. In the area with the Great Husk Sentries there is a door you can go through that leads to a single room full of Husk Dandies, jump at the back wall to go through.

Also iirc, the Goam entry is in the lower left of the Crossroads in the little side room by the Fungal Wastes entrance, you need Desolate Dive to break the floor.

I also found that there is breakable wall in the room just before the Goam fossil. It contains a Soul totem, which I assume is meant to give you enough soul to perform Desolate Dive/Descending Dark in case you don't have enough.

And yes, the entry requirement for Bobbobble is 3, but you only fight 2 at the end of ToC, so you must do it twice to complete its entry.

Also, I may be misremembering, but I believe Garpedes are in the area with Nosk, between the two breakable walls I did misremember.

No, the Garpede carapace is in the area with the Sharp Shadow charm.

Right, that makes more sense. At least I was relatively close.
You may also have missed the entry for The Void, which you get from the Abyss Imprint found near the Shade Cloak area.

After the fight with the Dung Defender there is a place directly under the switch to route the acid/water that can be broken with the Desolate dive. This will let you fight his dream form the White Defender.

None of the enemies added in updates matter for the Hunter's Mark, they all increment the total as well. (ie 125/140 will become 126/141)

Remember the menderbug isn't needed to get the hunters mark.

For me I was missing the damn maskflies, which I had always just assumed were part of the scenery

Durandoo are really annoying to kill. Try using Weaversong to kill them easier. The spiderlings will crawl along the bottom of the acid pool, attacking the Durandoo's legs.
