Tips for dealing with great hoppers?

They jump left, you move right. They jump right, you move left. Hit them with the nail every time they hit the ground.

There's actually a round in the Trial of Conqueror in the Colosseum that forces you to use this strategy; once you got the pattern down they're trivial to dispatch.

You also want to wait until after they jump to dodge, as they aim for you. If you dodge early they will just correct themselves, and if you dodge late then you didn’t actually dodge.

also consider charging and unleashing the cyclone nail art (don't forget to mash attack button for more attacks) as you move under the hopper
