There were areas or sections I disliked, but once I got good at them, I just forgot about them.
Things I DO remember:
Deepnest. Now I memorized it and can easily 100% it in under an hour, but first time, not knowing where to go and calling through those fake floors over and over again was just not fun.
Abyss climb. Falling down is too punishing. But yeah, I memorized where all the platforms are.
Road to Sheo. I just got hit there way too much on my first playthrough.
Oh, and that part miao mentioned with the garpede - am I the only one who never got stuck there?! It's pressing the attack button in an easy to learn rhythm.
Eh. I never found anything in the Waterways to be gross... or maybe I’m just used to seeing guts and blood...
Oh good god. The trek back up to the Traitor Lord EACH BLOODY TIME was agonizing as HELL. Until that day when I realized Dream Gates existed.
That ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sibling climb is some of the most annoying ♥♥♥♥ in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ world.
Not scary to me either... I get why it could be freaky- oh wait. I play games muted. That’s why.
