What was the most annoying/freaky/tedious area for you?

Honestly I loved every area of this game, it's just certain spots that I found pretty annoying, like that part in deepnest where you have to nail pogo on a garpede going UP, or that one spot in fog canyon with a lot of exploding bubbles that require VERY VERY tight precision to avoid, and if you end up getting hit by one, you could end up getting several more times after that, and it's very easy to die.

Personally, climbing and falling through the Abyss was quite annoying. Also it was freaky as hell so yeah it wins for both.

That place is more spooky than deepnest IMO. The way you descend into great basin and the music just CUTS OUT, only for you to go deeper and have the ambience slowly come back, but more quiet and menacing along with the dark vast emptiness just SCREAMS "turn back please for the love of pale king"

I honestly forgot.
There were areas or sections I disliked, but once I got good at them, I just forgot about them.
Things I DO remember:
Deepnest. Now I memorized it and can easily 100% it in under an hour, but first time, not knowing where to go and calling through those fake floors over and over again was just not fun.
Abyss climb. Falling down is too punishing. But yeah, I memorized where all the platforms are.
Road to Sheo. I just got hit there way too much on my first playthrough.

Oh, and that part miao mentioned with the garpede - am I the only one who never got stuck there?! It's pressing the attack button in an easy to learn rhythm.

For me, probably the Queen's Garden. I didn't like Greenpath all that much either, but at least there you pass through it to the Fungal Wastes fairly quickly. The Queen's Gardens is an end-station, so once you have access to it, it doesn't make much sense not to do it all in one-go, it's annoying to navigate, especially with the flying Mantis Petras, and in general feels like an even blander and more annoying version of Greenpath.

Eh. I never found anything in the Waterways to be gross... or maybe I’m just used to seeing guts and blood...

Oh good god. The trek back up to the Traitor Lord EACH BLOODY TIME was agonizing as HELL. Until that day when I realized Dream Gates existed.

I don't think anything needs to be super gory to be creepy or even scary. I think gore is overused most of the time and it's always a pleasant suprise when there's something creepy or scary in a piece of media that uses little to no gore whatsoever.

Not scary to me either... I get why it could be freaky- oh wait. I play games muted. That’s why.
