I need help with city crest.

Accidently I didn't ate city crest at first and now playing 36hours, I knew that I need city crest to open the shortcut in 'city of tears'. Is there any way to get one?(actually really embarrasing)

No need to be embarassed. Im getting to the city from ancient basin. Gone thru mantis village, deepnest, failed tram, ancient basin, I even go to kingdom's edge before into the city.

Imagine it, I beat any boss and nasty enemies I can find in those areas, with just unupgraded nail and the first spell.

Baffled when I found out that there is a way directly to the city with the crest, and people beating those enemies and bosses with better nail and spells.
