Help with Troupe Master Grimm?

I've already finished the base game, and now I'm trying to beat the Grimm Troupe. I got through collecting the flames with no trouble at all, but now Troupe Master Grimm has been upping the difficulty. I can dodge his attacks with little to no trouble, but I can't hit him often enough to kill him before I start to lose my rhythm. Help?

Practice, use UB Str.

Iirc the best times to hit him are after he uses the projectiles where you can close in and get one or two off, and during the floor spikes if you can get close to him before they come out. You can also pogo or chase him for a hit or two after he dive kicks. Other than that it’s really just taking a swing whenever you get a chance.

I beat him easily with the Abyss Shriek technique mentioned about two-thirds down the page.

Yes, it always helps me to watch someone else playing the Boss fight, so I can have an idea of what to expect, and when the best opportunities to strike are. It takes me a few watches to understand, and a WHOLE lot of practicing, but I pull through it. (Most of the time, anyway.) ^^
