Where is the Dung Defender?

I've just recently acquired the Monarch Wings, and now I'm on my way to fight the Dung Defender before I go after the Dreamers. However, I feel like I've searched the whole Royal Waterways and I can't seem to find him. I've found the entrance to Isma's Grove and his sign asking for a challenger, but I don't know where he is. Any instructions to find the Defender would be really helpful!

Have you found the slanted bench in the Waterways? If yes then just go right from the bench until you reach a "dungy" place and hear him shouting. Then go up and then just go until you reach his arena.
If you haven't found the bench yet, then enter from the entrance under Relic Seeker Lemm, then go left until you find a bench symbol on the wall. Then just follow that.
