Zote in Deepnest

I've found Zote but can't seem to find any way into where he's trapped. I already know that he can die, and I don't want to leave him at the mercy of whatever the hell has him in its web. If I leave the room, is there any sort of specific instance in which he dies? If so, when does it trigger?

Once you save Zote in Greenpath, he can't die. By the time I saved Zote in Deepnest my completion percentage was over 100%.

Zote can't die in Deepnest, only in Greenpath. If you explore Deepnest, you'll find the way to him.

You gotta go to the left from where you first encounter him in Deepnest.

Zote actually CAN die in Deepnest, at least from what I remember.

Provide me with a screenshot of him dead in Deepnest or else I won't believe you. All sources say otherwise.

IIRC he dies in Deepnest once you fight Hornet II or get the King's Brand similar to how he dies in Greenpath once you get the Mantis Claw. Might be misremembering though.

I'll test it later out on the save I use to gather dialogue.

idk man i never found zote in deepnest, kinda just wanted the dreamer lmao

In both instances he only dies if you get close to him, then leave. For deepnest this only happens if you actually get in the same chamber he is.
