If you do go this route though make sure to backup your game before you make any changes. The mod manager has a "revert to unmodded" option but I'd rather have the backup that I know will work.
But the game indeed has a lot of jump/slash, double jumps and other tasks that requires multiple button presses at the same time. Maybe you can try the keyboard instead of the controller. I don't know if this will help, but you can use your right hand to control the movements, instead of the action buttons.
I've also gotten to Brooding Malwek (but haven't beaten it yet) a few times and rescued a shop keeper....using mantis claw and avoiding wall spikes but my hand doesn't like to cooperate. Takes me multiple times.
Its a hardcore platforming section.
Optional, but necessary for unlocking a lot of the game's plot.
As JLax mentioned, you're not bound to the controller you're using at the moment. There are many different types of controller out there.
Steam also allows you to change the binding of the buttons. If you rightclick on a game, you find under the setting manage... the controller configuration. You can assign the buttons as you wish.
What controller are you using at the moment? F.e. I'm using the Steam controller and it has 2 buttons on the back. So I can assign some functions of the front buttons to those back buttons f.e. running and using the camera at the same time in dark souls.
Maybe this controller could alleviate your situation:
The Hori Battle Pad[stores.horiusa.com] is designed like the gamecube controller, it has huge (front) buttons. It's even compatible out of the box with steam.
