How hard is this game?

for the most basic ending I'd say 6-7. per above, optional content is choose your own difficulty. up to like 11-12

For the first playthrough, I would give about a 8-9 for base game, 12-13 for optional thing. Playthroughs after the first one are way easier, I would give a 6-8 base game, 12 optional things.

It’s equal to the combat difficulty of Dark Souls 1, maybe slightly easier. However, once you decide to complete Godhome, then it becomes harder than anything in the Souls series. And there’s some Kaizo Mario level platforming in an optional area.

Starts at 6-8, but each area gets easier as you get used to it. By the end, each area should be ~ 3-5, but the bosses tend to stay challenging at a 8 average. Most of the endgame challenges are a flat 10. Basically, this game is meant to challenge you, but is never unfair. You get better, master the environment, and eventually, the game feels much easier.

i mean game is not so hard if you played other platformers and if you played some it's like 5. 7 if never touched any platformer. godhome and grimm 9-10

i agree with 6-7. TBH most of the areas themselves aren't that difficult, the real challenge lies with the bosses and extra content

7~8 at the beginning, 5~7 when you know what you're doing (and I suck at this game). The bosses will still kick your ass anyway though.

5-7, it really depends on how good you can push buttons and understand the mechanics/bosses pattern of attack. And it also depends on what you really want from this game, if you just wanna complete the main game/campaign ( with false ending ) it will be preatty easy. ( some optional content is much harder than the "main" game )

4-6 The first playthroughs of dark souls were harder in my opinion, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. This game will still beat you down at points if that's what you're looking for. Some of the DLC or optional content can be pretty hard Like my boy infinite adjective Grey prince zote 1 hitting me In all honesty even though I didn't find it as hard I still had more fun exploring in hollow knight than I did in dark souls.

To be fair, being easier than Dark Souls isn't the same as being easy.

Anywhere from 4 to 10, depending on how you play and how much of the game you want to complete. If you're just going for the basic ending, you can grab Sharp Shadow to trivialise one of the more annoying bosses in the game and bap that final boss to kingdom come with little actual effort. If you want to get the true base game ending, that can be a wee bit trickier since the second final boss is far from the pushover that the first one is. If you wish to beat NKG, you're almost certainly going to need to practice a fair bit, and finishing Godhome's five pantheons is even worse.
