In the Beast's den there is a beast wearing mask looking at the ground and when I shout at it, it has the same effect as when you dream nail a dreamer and your nail is not awoken

It's a giant trilobite. Honestly, no one really knows who it is.

I believe the effect you're talking about a seal. Seals are placed all around the game, and come in many patterns, shapes, and sizes. All the game says is that they are meant to seal and protect things. No one really knows what the things they are sealing are (aside from the Dreamers, the Hollow Knight, and a select few others); most of them seem to be intricate masks or ancient relics, but you can't examine them, and none of the NPCs talk about these sealed objects. It's intriguing... and infuriating; there's no doubt a ton of lore hidden behind each and every one of these sealed items, but all we really have to go on is their appearance. Nothing I dug up can tell you what any of these are.

Perhaps they are statues of the previous gods of the civilization that came before Hollownest. It's possible, but to be honest, it's just a shot in the dark.

Don't think so; Hera the Beast is resting on a stone tablet, looking up. OP specifies that the thing was looking down.

He means the "metal" exoskeleton that looks like a trilobite, with the cables connected to it, that hangs from the ceiling in a room below the dreamer.
And nope, I have no idea what that is. At first I thought it was the dreamer, because it was the first one I found and I tried messing around in several ways, but it doesn't really do anything.
