Hollow Knight Save File Editor Switch

I was recommended a save file editor so I could undo a choice I accidentally went through with. However, I need to transfer my save file from the switch onto the computer. The site has a switch section so I assume it's possible, but I don't know how to actually edit save files. Would someone be willing to show me how to upload my save file to the computer and edit it for me?

I don’t know how to extract the file from the switch, but I’d like to undo the fact that I killed the Nailsmith. I didn’t think it would let me until after I talked to him so I was swinging a nail around and just knocked him off a cliff.

Oh well, killing the nailsmith doesn't really change anything in the game. You get an achievement for killing him and one for not. You basically just got an achievement & locked yourself out of some extra dialouge+a cute moment. So don't worry about it to much. (Since you don't know how to get the switch files, it'll be more of a pain to get them then it will be to live with a dead nailsmith.)

You would think it would be more of a pain for me, but I really didn't want to kill him. Plus it'll be good to know for the future.

tbh I've tried before to do so, but its really not that easy and hard to explain (I can't even do it myself properly). So really, live with the dead nailsmith or figure it out on your own. And if you do get the file I'd still be happy to edit it for you.
