Weird bugs in a hot spring

I found a hotspring in the forgotten crossroads, and my second time visiting it, there was a pair a bugs in the water that appeared to be talking with each other, but they stopped as soon as I got near. I couldn't interact with them, didn't have the dream nail at the time, and now that I do have it I can't get them to appear again. I'm just kind of wondering if this is some rare thing, or if there's really anything of note about it that I didn't notice or couldn't take advantage of with what I had.

Dream nailing those two gives this message "Another weak one. I'd suggest it try its nail within the Colosseum, though it'd no doubt be squashed in an instant."

Alright, interesting. I was just curious since they came out of no where and haven't appeared since.
