Crystal peak has ruined the game for me

how was i supposed to know that if i didn't have a lantern then i would get stuck in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ area with no escape.

You should still be able to get out. If you get the Crystal Heart you'll be fine. Once you have the Crystal Heart, you should be able to cross the chasm of crystal spikes just past Cornifer, which takes you to Dirtmouth.

You just need to find the Crystal Heart, its there somewhere. I'll see if I can find a map to show you.

EDIT: Here's a map of Crystal Peak, the Crystal Heart is in the large chamber in the middle-right area of the map.

i need a lantern to get to crystal heart, unless you know a way of modding or glitching it into my inventory then the game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥

I am pretty sure you don't. The only areas of Crystal Peak that need the lantern are the lower Crossroads exit, Hallownest's Crown(weapon upgrade location), and the path that leads to the Resting Grounds and the Crystalized Mound(spell upgrade location)

ok, i will try that, still annoyed, came to an area hoping to find some side stuff and got forced into the worst part of the game.

OOPS just realized I said middle-left instead of middle-right.

The Crystal Heart is on the middle-RIGHT side, the Deep Focus charm is on the middle-LEFT.

Did you find any bench in Crystal Peak and used it yet? If not you can exit the game to main menu and enter the save file again. It will spawn you on the last bench you sat on (outside Crystal Peak).

No problem.

Crystal Heart will get you acrossed any gap, just be prepared to hit the button again to stop flying, otherwise you might run into spikes(the game likes to do that later).

Also running into enemies that have 10 health or less while flying will be killed by the Crystal Heart without hurting you. So Vengeflies won't be an issue.

There are some dark areas scattered acrossed the world, usually hiding a charm or some upgrade, but if there's one place you should never go without a light, its Deepnest.
You'll probably understand why once you get there. If you see that area name pop up and you haven't gotten the lantern from Sly yet, you better go back the way you came, because you will almost certainly get lost in there.

Uh oh... there are a few items that require a lot of Geo. The most expensive item currently being 15000 Geo(the shop that sells this item doesn't appear until you do something special in a hidden area of the Howling Cliffs, which is to the left of the starting area, requires Mantis Claw to access the area, and Dream Nail to do the event, Lumafly Lantern is also recommended).

If your Shade is in a spot that is difficult to reach, give a Rancid Egg to Jiji(her cave is on the right side of Dirtmouth, just below the Crystal Peak elevator). She can summon your Shade so you can safely recover your Geo.

There is a good farming spot in Deepnest called The Failed Tramway, but I would highly recomend getting the Lantern and upgrading your Nail to Channelled level(or at least Sharpened) before tackling anything in Deepnest.

Sold stuff, lost 700 goo in this one area that is difficult to get through but also difficult to get out off.

If you can't get out of an area safely, just quit to menu and restart. It will spawn you at the last bench you rested at.
