I can't enable Steel Soul Mode

There's no option for me to enable Steel Soul mode when I create a new game. Any suggestions?

Did you delete the cleared save file? Maybe that has an effect.

That shouldn't affect it. Speedrunners regularly delete their only available saved game to start a new one. The steel soul mode option still comes up when starting a new game

Yup, I've cleared all the endings already.

I started a game in Iron Soul mode a few months ago, but never played it. Today I deleted it because I haven't played Hollow Knight in a while and wanted to start fresh. The only save I have right now is my normal game in Save Slot 1, and any time I click an empty save file to start a new game, the first thing I can interact with is the animation.

Try going through any ending on your normal save file again. Then start a new file.

If you have a save near the end of the game, beat it again.

I had such issue when I've transfered my HK saves via steam cloud from one PC to another. Just beat last boss (not necessarily Radiance)

Are you playing on a new computer? If you are playing on a different computer than your previous playthrough, then I don't think the Steel Soul unlock flag wouldn't be triggered yet.

I have the same problem and just tried doing that but it didn't work
do you have another idea of what might help?
