Easiest Dream Boss?
I've gotten really far into hollow knight, and I've almost fully awoken my dream nail. I have defeated all dream warriors and completed most whispering roots. Which of the 3 dream boss did you find easiest? Which charms do you recommend for that boss?

Lost Kin, the dream version of broken vessel.
It's a bit faster than its normal version, and it makes more blobs of infection with its attacks.
Additionally, it spawns the floating infected balloons rapidly, which makes it harder to heal during the fight.

You can use the defender's crest of the spore charms to kill the balloons while you are healing, giving you the time you need.
Alternatively, if your nail is reasonably strong, you can quite easily just keep attacking the lost kin, since it doesn't work very hard to defend itself and it will often die before you do, even without special builds.

I think you can also get essence from the White Defender and The Grey Prince though, in addition to the 3 main dream bosses, and the White Defender is pretty easy.

That said, I'm guessing you want the true ending, and you should probably brace yourself because the true final boss is much, much harder than the normal dream bosses.

In my experience if I were to have equal upgrades for all fights, it'd go like this, from weakest to strongest: Lost Kin (simple attacks, easy to face tank) -> Zote the Gray Prince (first few tries are easy, Descending Dark helps a lot) -> Soul Tyrant (learning how to dodge all his attacks every time can take a bit of time but after that it's a breeze) -> White Defender (almost the same patterns as Dung Defender but with more health) -> Failed Champion (he gave me the most trouble but once I started using Nail Arts, specifically the spinning one, he went down but it took me the most tries, a lot of players however deem him one of the easier dream bosses).

I think which ones are easier or harder depends on what charm-build you practice with the most, and what parts of the game are your strong suits.
For me, soul tyrant was the most difficult when balancing the same available equipment used against all the bosses.

Most people seem to agree that lost kin is the easiest though, from what I've read.

I found Failed Champion to be the easiest. Just move as far away from him as you can and he'll jump towards you, dash under him so he lands behind you, hit him a couple times, then move away from him and repeat. I used longnail, quick slash, fragile strength and stalwart shell.

I think my problem with that fight is that I'm not a patient person. My instinct is always to be too greedy on my attacks, and if I don't step back fast enough I get hit. This is my problem in reflex-relevant games in general. I go a bit berserk. If I can get myself to calm down, I frequently do much better (how I eventually beat hornet 2. I barely even got hit during my last try). Rationally, I know that playing it safe is more likely to let me suceed, but I just have difficulty actually doing that when I'm fighting a boss. I suspect this is a common problem among other gamers, and is the biggest reason why I'm probably never going to be good at games in general.
Bosses that reward you, or at least punish you less, for more aggressive tactics are going to be easier for me than bosses that ask you to play it safer.
That said, for all my berserker tactics, I have the patience to keep trying over and over again until eventually they either work, or I temporarily find my cool and win with a more conservative strategy.

I think it's Soul Tyrant. I mean, Lost Kin was a hell with those attacks and the annoying ghosts and his HUGE HP, and Failed Champion was the last dream boss I had after I defeated both. But Soul Tyrant it's just fine after you get used to the attacks.

Lost Kin and Soul Tyrant are both pretty easy.
For Lost Kin go with Quickslash, Strength, Mark of Pride, and you should have 2 notches left over if you have all the charm notches, Sporeshroom and Defenders Crest should work for those.
For Soul Tyrant, try Shaman Stone, Strength, Mark of Pride, and Spell Twister.

It pretty much depends on the way you like to play and the way you charm up. I say try them all out. Failing doesn't result in a death so you won't waste much time.

Lost Kin and Soul Tyrant are the easiest i would say. Then Failed Champion and Dung Defender. Zote is the hardest by far for me. His moves and jumps are so random that i can not get through this fight without taking a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of damage.

Failed Champion is weird. When you're not fully geared up, he presents a good challenge. Once your stats are maxed out, dude's just pathetic, lol.

Lost Kin, hands down. You can almost afk him with a pet build.

Honestly, Failed Champion is stupidly easy after you learn him. He was very intimidating and difficult at first, but then I learnt how to deal with him and now he's a walk in the park.
